South London songwriter Pixx self-releases home demo 'how are you?' with musical assist from Dylan Jones, alongside a quirky video. Perhaps it's the start of a softer, more earthy Pixx compared to her fantastically energetic trademark synth pop, seen on her most recent 2019 album Small Mercies. 'how are you' features 60's style drums with soft tambourine hits, whimsical synth playing and soft organ sounds. Pixx's vocals reside in comfortability and ease with the aid of distant harmonies, comfirming: "I want you, I want you, there's no answer anymore". The music video shot and directed by Will Roberts is quirky and playful, exploring light and shadow with projections and screens.
